"Don Diablo's rise from DIY beginner to global superstar has been one of the most rapid and thrilling DJ journeys of recent times." - Tilllate Magazine (February 2010). That about sums up the last few years for producer, DJ & visualist DON DIABLO. He has received praises from NME magazine, Pete Tong and even Kanye West. He has build a massive online following in 2009 by leaking tracks almost weekly, resulting in over 7 million (!) downloads in the last 18 months and being named 'Most Blogged Artist' in the world several times, according to North American music blog aggregator The Hype Machine. But DON is also known for his energetic four deck DJ shows that have rocked festivals and clubs around the globe, including Glastonbury, Creamfields, Ministry of Sound and the Australian Summadayze & Stereosonic festival tours. DON has enjoyed huge underground success with singles like 'Hooligans', 'Blow' and 'Who's Your Daddy'. Artists like Mika, Public Enemy, Cassius, Gorillaz, The Chemical Brothers and Iggy Pop have been remixed by DON and he has also found time to collaborate on original material with acts like Example, Diplo, Rhymefest, Dragonette, Sidney Samson, Rox and Laidback Luke. DON's music can be also be heard in TV-shows like 'CSI:NY', commercials for 'Nike' & 'Blackberry' and several movie(trailer)s. So you might have heard one or two DON DIABLO tunes here and there without even knowing. Oh and DON can also be credited for discovering and signing the UK top 3 chart hit 'Exceeder' by Mason. We could go on, but you are probably already sick to your stomach of this promotional piece of writing that DON describes as "a long string of letters filled with unnecessary information about me". We see it as a start of something that is only going to get (in the famous words of Daft Punk) harder, faster, stronger, better. Watch out for the international debut album that should hit the shelves after the summer: 'Exit Studio Sweatshop'.
